The Scalphunters
Trapper Joe is on his way to town with his haul of hides from the previous winter. However, a group of Indians stops him and takes all of his hides, leaving him the escaped slave Joseph. Joe, on the other hand, has no use for Joseph and is determined to reclaim his property, so he follows them. Before he can do anything, the Indians are raided by a band of scalphunters led by the avaricious Howie. Not only do the hides fall into their hands, but so does Joseph. Joe now follows them alone, attempting to fool the numerically superior group out of their hides.
