Climbing buddies Renan Ozturk, Freddie Wilkinson, and Zack Smith look at some of Brad Washburn's mountain photographs, and all of a sudden they have this wacky idea. Seventy-five years ago, one of the greatest aerial mountain photographers of all time, Brad Washburn, took the first photograph of Denali Mountain from the open door of an airplane. Their goal is not to climb higher, but rather to traverse the Moose's Tooth massif, which features some of the most intimidating peaks in the range. It is an innovative and novel approach to exploring the same terrain that Washburn initially uncovered. The group's goal to be the first to finish the ambitious line becomes an obsession as they struggle through difficult circumstances, ropes that are falling apart, and continuous rockfall. But after Renan suffers a brain injury that was very nearly fatal, friendships among the three partners start to deteriorate, and they are forced to evaluate what is most important to them.
