The Palm Beach Story
Their marriage has been a challenge for Gerry and Tom Jeffers. Tom is an inventor/architect, and the two of them are struggling to get by on his meager earnings. When Gerry sees a wealthy businessman being shown around as a potential renter, he saves them from being kicked out of their apartment. Tom refuses to trust Gerry's story, so he gives her $700 and they argue. Gerry flies to Palm Beach for a speedy divorce, but Tom has a scheme in place to prevent it.
