The Organizer
This darkly humorous Italian movie about mistreated manufacturing employees in the city of Turin is narrated by Professor Sinigaglia (Marcello Mastroianni), who plays the titular role. These employees, who are forced to work in awful conditions at a textile factory, have no one to speak out for them until Sinigaglia puts his academic future on the line by assisting them in launching a strike against their employer. Despite the fact that the teacher is being scrutinized by unfriendly authorities, he remains committed to the workers' cause and continues to teach them.
