The Letters
How have things been going for you? Takeshi's letter is delivered once a month to his younger brother, Naoki, by a postal service employee. Takeshi is currently serving a life sentence in jail for the crime he committed in order to save his brother's life. However, the aftereffects of the crime extend to Naoki, who is labeled as a "murderer's brother" and is denied access to his love, work, and lifelong desire. His precarious situation progressively improves as he falls in love with Yumiko, who has been by his side throughout his life. Naoki begins composing a letter to Takeshi in order to keep the love that he has finally found safe and secure... The heartwarming story of a guy who, despite the fact that he was powerless against his irrevocable fate, attempted to overcome it in his pursuit of his dream.
