THE KIDS MENU is a feature-length documentary by the crew behind "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead." With his first two films, filmmaker Joe Cross met hundreds of people around the world, and one issue that came up again and again was what to do about the growing childhood obesity problem. Joe speaks with experts, parents, teachers, and children in THE KIDS MENU, and comes to the conclusion that childhood obesity is merely a symptom of a larger issue. The lack of understanding of what constitutes a healthy diet. There is a scarcity of healthful, low-cost solutions. Harmful role models, such as parents, teachers, or even celebrities, can have a negative impact. All of this may appear to be too much to overcome, yet when given the opportunity, children frequently choose the healthier option.
