The Keeping Room
Southerner Augusta comes face to face with two renegade, inebriated soldiers who are on a mission of pillage and violence during the conclusion of the Civil Conflict in this radically remade American Western set near the end of the war. When Augusta is able to flee an attempted assailant, she heads back to the lonely farmhouse where she lives with her sister Louise and their female slave, Mad. Augusta is tracked down by two soldiers who are out for vengeance. The three ladies are forced to defend themselves and their home against the onslaught of attacks that get more unpredictable and merciless as the conflict escalates.
