The Judge and the Assassin

France, 1893. Joseph Bouvier attempts to commit suicide by shooting his love, who has refused to marry him. He wanders the country roads for years after being released from the filthy asylum where he was placed, raping and murdering many teenagers. Rousseau, the judge, captures him, but in order to further his ambition, he seeks to avoid declaring Bouvier insane.
