Thousands of people who take part in an alternate reality game in San Francisco end up getting more than they bargained for. The film, which is told from the views of the players, peers over the cliff at an emerging new art form in which the real world and fictional narratives collide to produce unexpected and often unpleasant effects. Taking the viewer on a journey through counter-culture, new religious movements, and street art, this video transports them into a mysterious underground realm that exists just beyond the surface of normal life.
