The Inn of the Sixth Happiness
Gladys Aylward was born in England, but all her life she knew that China was where she belonged, and that she had to go there. Gladys isn't qualified to be sent there as a missionary, so she works as a housekeeper to earn enough money to send herself to a poor, remote village in the middle of the country. Then, she runs the inn, serves as "foot inspector," and even falls in love with mixed-race Captain Lin Nan.
