The Harder They Fall

Corrupt fight promoter Nick Benko hires unemployed sportswriter Eddie Willis to promote his latest protégé, an unknown Argentine boxer named Toro Moreno. Despite his size, Moreno's chances of success are limited by a powder-puff punch and a glass jaw. Benko arranges a series of staged fights to promote the naive Moreno to #1 contender for the belt. The reigning champ, the cruel Buddy Brannen, resents Toro's publicity and swears to brutally punish him in the ring. Eddie must now choose between telling Toro the truth or not.
