The Geographer Drank His Globe Away

After accepting a position as a geography teacher at a secondary school in his hometown of Perm (in the Urals), Victor Sluzhkin becomes lost in a fog of hard vodka, desperate love for a nymphoet-like student, and the stress of instructing teens in his own Perm. During a rafting tour in the Urals, Geographer, as the students have dubbed him, strives to escape from the hard, uninteresting, and stultifying reality of provincial life in Russia. Geographer is on the verge of discovering himself and his own truth, accompanied by a group of wild, adventure-seeking youngsters and confronted with the various nasty surprises of nature.
