Taking place in an alternate post-apocalyptic 1950s, The Fitzroy is a live-action black comedy. The globe has been engulfed in deadly gas, and the Fitzroy hotel, an abandoned submarine off the coast of England, is the last place you can go for a classic seaside vacation. Bernard, the hotel's bellboy, cook, maintenance man, and all-around jerk, is the focus of the film as he fights to maintain the crumbling establishment airtight and operational. After falling in love with a homicidal guest, he finds himself in the middle of an insane day of lies, backstabbing, and chaos. The more Bernard tries to keep her murders hidden from the other guests and suspicious authorities, the more his world actually begins to crumble around him.
