The Eighth Day
Georges has Down syndrome and lives in a mental institution, while Harry is a busy businessman who gives lectures to young aspiring salespeople. Since his wife abandoned him and took their two children with her, his social life has been a catastrophe. This weekend, his children arrived to meet him by train, but Harry, as usual, failed to pick them up. His wife and children do not wish to see him again, and he is driving across the countryside in sorrow and rage. He almost collides with Georges, who is on the run from the institution because his mother is deceased and everyone else has returned home with their parents except for him. Harry tries to get rid of Georges, but his new companion refuses to leave. Eventually, a unique connection develops between them, transforming Harry into a different person.
