The Edelweiss Pirates

Towards the end of World War II, Cologne. The city is in shambles, everyone is terrified, and many people have died. This is a period of extreme inhumanity. The young Edelweiss Pirates of Cologne refuse to surrender to the Nazi regime's coercion. They engage in combat with the Hitler Youth and scribble anti-war propaganda on the walls. Karl is a member of the Edelweiss Pirates, while his younger brother, Peter, is a member of the Hitler Youth. Their mother was slain in a bombing raid, and their older brother, Otto, was killed in action. Cilly, Otto's fiancee, is fighting to keep her children alive. Carl is attempting to assist her.
