The Climax
As a result of his jealousy, Dr. Hohner (Karloff), a theatrical physician at the Vienna Royal Theatre, murders his mistress, a famous singer, driving him to the point of mad obsession. Ten years later, Hohner is reminded of the late diva by another young singer (Foster), and his old insanity reemerges once more. Hohner is determined to keep her from singing for anyone other than him, even if it means permanently silencing her. In the film's climax, the singer's fiancée (Bey) rushes to her side to save her.
