The Captive Heart
A collection of stories about the lives and loves of nine guys who spent five years in a POW camp. A realistic setting was created by filming on location in the British-occupied territory of Germany. He is a Czech soldier named Hasek (Redgrave) who must keep his identity hidden from the Nazis. In order to do so, he impersonates a deceased English officer and contacts with the man's widow. Following their emancipation, they get together and resolve to continue their lives as a couple. The stories of the other inmates are disclosed in installments.
