Melvin Smiley, a charming hitman, is constantly being conned by his ruthless colleagues in the business of ending people's lives. Consequently, when he and his fellow assassins kidnap the daughter of an electronics magnate, it is Melvin who is held responsible when their high-stakes score goes bad. This is due to the fact that the young lady is the goddaughter of the gang's brutal criminal mastermind.
