When a stunning blonde is murdered, Stroud, the crusading editor of a crime magazine, is tasked by his publishing boss Janoth to identify the perpetrator, he must postpone a vacation with his wife once more. As the investigation nears its conclusion, Stroud must try to sabotage his normally brilliant investigative team as they continue to build (albeit incorrect) evidence that he is the murderer.
