A convoluted odyssey of two women's desperate escape from the grips of Skylight, a sinister cult, is chronicled. Jillian and Blair are drawn to the remote desert campus known as The Aviary by the promise of "freedom," and they band together to escape in the goal of finding true freedom. They are consumed by fear and paranoia, and they can't get rid of the idea that they are being followed by the cult's leader, Seth, a guy who is as charming as he is manipulative. The greater the distance between the couple and the cult, the more Seth is able to maintain influence over their brains. Suddenly, with their supplies running low and their senses failing them, the two survivors must confront a terrifying question: how can you flee from an opponent who exists only in one's imagination?
