The Adventures of Mark Twain
This feature-length Claymation tale, which is based on components from the stories of Mark Twain, recounts the exploits of Tom Sawyer, Becky Thatcher, and Huck Finn as they stowaway aboard the interplanetary balloon of Mark Twain. After becoming disillusioned with the human race, Mark Twain is determined to track down Halley's Comet and crash into it, thus fulfilling his "destiny." It is up to Tom, Becky, and Huck to persuade him that his assessment of the situation is incorrect and that he still has plenty to offer humanity that may make a significant impact. Their actions are not merely charitable; if they fail, they will suffer the same fate as Mark Twain. The journey takes them through a mystical time vortex, where they gain a deep understanding of Mark Twain's philosophy while experiencing the "actual" events that inspired his books.
