In order to spend time with his fiancée, Adrien Dufourquet receives an eight-day leave of absence from the French military. Then, when he arrives in Paris, he discovers that Professor Catalan, the partner of her late father's late companion, has just been kidnapped by a group of Amazon tribesmen who have also stolen a priceless statue from the museum. In Brazil, Adrien and Agnès track down the kidnappers and discover that the statue holds the key to a hidden Amazon wealth.
