A young actor who performs in horror films, Rose Hepburn, arrives back to her abandoned hotel. Having little choice but to utilize the outdated freight elevator, it abruptly stops on the twelfth story, trapping her with an unusual stranger. When Rose learns that the strange man is Daniel Reed, a camera operator on her most recent movie who seems to be enamored with her, tensions increase and suspicions grow as they are left without a phone signal as a storm approaches. Some terrible realities and actions begin to surface as the elevator hangs precariously high, poised to collapse at any moment.
