Sonatine
Murakawa, a Tokyo yakuza tired of mob life, is played by Kitano. His employer sends him to Okinawa with a couple of his minions to assist end a gang conflict, ostensibly as a mediator between two feuding clans. Murakawa's headquarters are blasted, and he and his gang are ambushed in a pub, leaving him questioning why he was sent to Okinawa in the first place.
