Smilla Jaspersen, half Danish, half Greenlander, investigates the death of a young kid who fell from her apartment's roof. Smilla follows a trail of clues that point to a strange firm that has made multiple mysterious Greenland missions. Filming took place in Copenhagen and western Greenland. The film was nominated for a Golden Bear at the 47th Berlin International Film Festival.
