In France, terrorist organizations and intelligence services are engaged in a bloody struggle on a daily basis, fighting for ideals that couldn't be more diametrically opposed to one another. Despite this, the lifestyles of terrorists and secret operatives are quite similar. These manipulative experts, who must keep their tactics a secret, always use the same strategies. Alex and Al Barad are two examples of those individuals. Both the former and the latter fight using the most ruthless of weapons: human beings. The former is the head of the counter-terrorism unit of the D.G.S.E. (Direction Générale de la Sécurité Extérieure, which is the French equivalent of the CIA or the MI6), and the latter is the leader of a terrorist network.
