Rachel (Lindsey Shaw) learns that her high-profile client plans to purchase out a tiny town's beloved library to develop a resort and spa. Rachel is adamantly opposed to leaving NYC but loses to her boss. As a result, Rachel packs her belongings and boards a plane to California. While exploring Captain Black Bart's hidden riches for his forthcoming novel, she meets writer Jake (Derek Theler). Mrs. Archer (Rachel Ticotin), the librarian, pushes Jake to demonstrate Rachel how important the library is to the town. As a researcher and summer caregiver for Hailey (Chiara Aurelia) and Noah (Max Page), Jake volunteers to help out. Rachel must find a way to save the library before it is too late.
