In this modern version of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol," Frank Cross (Bill Murray) is a very successful TV executive whose cold ambition and grumpy personality have driven away the love of his life, Claire Phillips (Karen Allen). But after firing Eliot Loudermilk (Bobcat Goldthwait), a staff member, on Christmas Eve, Frank is visited by a series of ghosts who give him a chance to think about his actions and make up for mistakes he made in the past.
