Saint Seiya: Legend of Sanctuary

Warriors known as "Saints" are the champions of hope who have emerged on the scene every time evil has threatened the planet since the Age of Myth. In this contemporary novel, set many years after the long-fought "Holy War," we meet Saori Kido, a young girl who is concerned by the unusual powers she possesses. The accident leads to Saori realizing her destiny and mission, and she decides to travel with Seiya and his Bronze Saints to the "Sanctuary." She is saved from an assassination attempt by a young kid named Seiya, who calls himself "Bronze Saint." Inside the Sanctuary, they face off against the "Pope" and engage in a desperate battle against the greatest Saints, known as the "Gold Saints."
