After his first wife dies, affluent Raja Aditya Pratap Singh remarries another woman, simply known as Chhoti Rani, who later becomes mentally ill. Badi Rani, his father's previous mistress, controls the fortune, although he also has a mistress. In order to obtain contracts, Mantri Prabhu Tiwari decides to run for office, while his opponent, Ghenda Singh, hires an assassin, Babalu, who is also the nephew of Sunder, Chhoti Rani's driver, to assassinate Aditya. Aditya employs Babalu after Sunder is unable to drive owing to an injury. Babalu adjusts into his new position and tries to fit in with everyone, particularly Chhoti Rani, whom he finds appealing. He soon discovers that she, too, has love for him, and he begins to make preparations to not only complete his assigned duty but also to succeed Saheb.
