Moving to a new school is difficult for Manny. Manny finds an unusual collar and puts it on Rufus, the family dog, after hoping for more friends. Rufus transforms into a boy! Instead, Manny enrolls Rufus in school. His goofy dog behaviors (chasing squirrels, eating without utensils, asking for belly rubs, grabbing a soccer ball with his mouth) make him the most popular kid in school. Malgré his new best friend's jealousy, Manny learns that a dog's loyalty to his owner comes first.
