Sam the snowman narrates the story of a young red-nosed reindeer who, after being kicked out of the reindeer games due to his glowing nose, partners up with Hermey, an elf who aspires to be a dentist, and Yukon Cornelius, the prospector. They encounter the Abominable Snowman and discover an entire island of mismatched toys. Rudoph pledges to see if he can persuade Santa to help the toys and returns to the North Pole on Christmas Eve.
