Romeo and Juliet - Stratford Festival of Canada

In recent weeks, a long-simmering rivalry between two families in Verona, the Montague's and the Capulet's, has come to a head, with members of the rival homes brawling in the streets. On one particular evening, Romeo, a Montague, interrupts a party hosted by the Capulets in order to meet up with Rosaline, a young woman with whom he has developed feelings for. The moment he sees Juliet, the daughter of the Capulet family's patriarch, all thoughts of her are banished from his consciousness. Juliet is also head over heels in love with Romeo, but her father has other intentions for her.
