Prick Up Your Ears
The controversial British playwright Joe Orton is shown in flashback following his murder by lover Kenneth Halliwell in this Stephen Frears biographical drama. His openly gay relationship with Halliwell in their famous Islington flat in the 1960s began when John 'Joe' Orton, born in Leicester in1933, moved to London to study acting at RADA. It's not long before Halliwell starts to feel alienated by Orton's success with plays like "What the Butler Saw" and "Loot."
