Orlando is on its deathbed. With his fate sealed, all he wants is to be left alone with his beer, drugs, and hermit crab to ruminate on his misfortune. Jean-Luc, an excessively chatty Frenchman who also happens to be a voice in his head, jolts him out of his reverie, and he realizes he's lost his chance for privacy. Along with cancer, Orlando must now deal with Jean-never-ending Luc's questioning and commentary, as well as the realization that Jean-Luc is gradually taking over Orlando's entire body, from the inside out (sight, hearing, taste, smell, touch).
