Phantom of the Opera

Pit violinist Claudin secretly supports rising operatic soprano Christine Dubois's career (as do baritone Anatole and police inspector Raoul). Claudin, on the other hand, loses both his touch and his job, murders a rogue music publisher in a fit of rage, and has his face etched with acid. Soon, the Paris Opera House is plagued by mysterious crimes, which are blamed on a legendary "phantom."
