Outside the Law

After suffering the loss of their family home in Algeria in the 1920s, three brothers and their mother end up living in different parts of the world. Messaoud enlists in the French army and is sent to fight in Indochina; Abdelkader rises to prominence as a leader of the Algerian independence movement in France; and Saad relocates to Paris in order to make his money in the seedy bars and boxing halls of Pigalle.
