Lauren Ames, a refined actress, now has the opportunity to study with legendary theatre educator Stanislav Korzenowski. Because of a fortunate coincidence, Sandy Brozinsky, an outspoken and abrasive actress, decides to learn with Korzenowski as well. The two women end up falling in love with the same man (who turns out to be a double agent) and decide to track him down across the country in order to force him to make a decision between them.
