Notes from Dad
Roy Allen, a former trumpet player, embarks on a new career as a music teacher in a school with a large number of students who have had little exposure to music. It is Roy who makes contact with an exceptionally gifted musician who is looking for a father figure. Nate re-connects with his own estranged son through the experience of starting a school band and learning how to reach them on their own terms. As a result, he becomes the father he always wanted to be.
