There are no presents under the tree on Christmas Eve in New York City. Rose Collins is lonely and divorced, and she needs a miracle to improve the health of her mother in the hospital with Alzheimer's. They meet when she feels bad for another person who is in the hospital. meanwhile, Nina Vasquez breaks up with her fiance Mike because he is so jealous. She misses him, but doesn't want to be with him anymore. Mike is being stalked by Artie Venzuela, a bartender at the club. To make things worse for Jules, he has planned to spend Christmas Eve in a hospital where he spent the best Christmas of his life as a teenager. The lives of some of these people meet up with each other during the night.
