During a chilly, dark night in Paraguay, Juan de los Santos, a former undercover detective who was once on the verge of taking down the most powerful drug cartel in Latin America, lost everything he held dear: his wife and children were brutally killed, and with them, his will to live. Although Juan was uninjured, he did take two bullets on that frigid night, one of which lodged in his heart and the other of which damaged part of his brain, causing him to experience random amnesia for the remainder of the night. Juan must overcome great hurdles in an internal and exterior battle with his own demons in order to rescue the lives of others. He is eager to accept any employment to alleviate his misery because he is sleepless and plagued by treacherous nightmares from the previous night.
