My One Christmas Wish
Jackie Turner is a devout Christian. As a child, he was abused, abandoned, and hungry. He is now a college student. Although she has made a complete 180 in her life, the holidays are still extremely traumatic for her. Faced with another lonely holiday break on school, Jackie posts a Craigslist advertisement for My ONE CHRISTMAS WISH - a family for Christmas - and even offers to pay $8 an hour. To her astonishment, she receives a deluge of responses. Among the numerous sincere invitations and letters of support, she also hears from other young people experiencing the same profound emptiness that comes with missing loved ones around the holidays. Jackie resolves to arrange a large Christmas party - with the last-minute assistance of her adviser, friends, and support group - in order to locate families for all the troubled people who emailed her, and also finds one for herself.
