Detective Harlan Regis is in charge of the investigation when a secretary is found dead in a White House restroom during a time of international turmoil. Even though the Secret Service is against it, Regis teams up with agent Nina Chance anyhow. This could be part of an extensive cover-up as political tensions escalate. The pair, along with Regis' partner, break into the White House in order to find out who is behind the smear campaign against them.
