Born and raised in Faridkot, Farid Singh Brar loves his native area and divides his time between farming and hanging out with his best friend, Maddi. Farid's mother is fed up with his aimless existence and issues him an ultimatum to immigrate to Canada. A disappointed Farid prays at the dargah for his one request to be granted: to be allowed to remain in Faridkot. The next morning, he awakens to discover his wish has been granted.
