Everyone runs for shelter when he and his girlfriend Dagmara walk to the dance floor. He enjoys being a "cool misfit" in an otherwise "stuffy" place. He keeps his muscles in shape by working on a building site near the Polish-German border where the world's largest statue of Jesus is being built. After all of that, he has a catastrophic work accident that leaves him permanently disfigured. The Polish media eagerly anticipates the arrival of Poland's first face transplant recipient, Jacek.
