Mon-Rak Transistor
Phaen is a young man from the suburbs who has a strong passion for music. When there is an opportunity for him to perform at temple fairs in his community, he never passes it up. It is during one of these fairs where he first sees Sadao and where he eventually falls in love with her. On the day when Phaen and Sadao are being married, Phaen presents Sadao a transistor radio as a gift. Not only does the new family adore the radio, but it also inspires Phaen to daydream that he is a renowned singer himself.
