Mektoub, My Love
This is Amin's summer vacation from Paris; he's a budding screenwriter who goes to his family's fishing town in southern France. Reconnecting with his family and old friends is a major part of this time period. With his cousin Tony and best friend Ophélie, he divides his time between the Tunisian restaurant managed by his parents, the pubs in the area, and the beaches favored by young women on holiday. Amin is mesmerized by the array of seductive women in his immediate vicinity, but his dionysiac cousin is swept up in the pleasure of these summer sirens. Using his camera and the Mediterranean coast as his guide, Amin is on a journey of self-discovery and inspiration for his screenplays. Only Mektoub (Arabic for "destiny") has the power to determine a person's fate in love.
