Lying to Be Perfect

Nola Devlin, played by Poppy Montgomery, is a plain, frumpy magazine editor who is overlooked and teased by her coworkers during the day. When the sun goes down, though, she becomes the famous and "reclusive" advice columnist Belinda Apple, hiding behind the glow and anonymity of her computer screen. Nola's friends are tired of being overworked and overweight, so they make the "Cinderella Pact" and promise to lose weight by doing what their "fairy godmother," Apple, tells them to do. When her secret identity is in danger, Nola has to listen to the advice of her alter ego. But as the group of friends loses weight, their real problems start to come out, and better-than-expected changes start to happen in their lives.
