Love in Moreno Valley

As a newcomer fresh out of MoVal, a multicultural neighborhood in southern California, James hides out in his room, playing guitar and trying to avoid his emotionally disturbed single father, whose fantasy baseball fixation and romantic life make him unpleasant. In tenth grade, James is reunited with Abe, a wild boy whose actions garner a lot of bad attention to both he and James, much to the dismay of their eccentric, rigorous principal, Mr. Durante, at Vista Christian High School in California. The rest of the episode has Abe engaging in outlandish behavior while James is focused with attempting to impress Carla, an attractive Latina who happens to be James' coworker. Things only become worse for the couple when Principal Durante punishes them by requiring them to lead the weekly chapel congregation as part of their punishment.
