"Loro," in two parts, is a period piece that tells the fictional story of events that occurred in Italy (or were made up) between 2006 and 2010. "Loro" wants to suggest a moment in history, now definitively ended, in portraits and glimps through a composite constellation of characters, which can be described in a very summary picture of the events as amoral, decadent, but extraordinarily alive. Furthermore, "Loro" wishes to tell the story of some Italians, both young and old: souls from a modern imaginary Purgatory who, moved by diverse motives such as ambition, admiration, affection, curiosity, and personal interests, decide to orbit around the walking Paradise that is Silvio Berlusconi.
